Chris Brown has given his first television interview since his February arrest for assaulting Rihanna.

In a sit-down with CNN's Larry King airing Wednesday, the 20-year-old singer says he's still in love with his ex-girlfriend and he has no memory of the incident.

The judge who presided over his criminal trial, probably loved reading that.

Brown described his reaction to the police reports detailing what occurred between him and Rihanna that night. "I'm in shock because first of all, that's not who I am as a person and that's not who I pride myself on being," said Brown, flanked by his mother, Joyce Hawkins, and attorney, Mark Geragos. "So when I look at the police reports or I hear about the police reports, I don't know what to think ... I just don't know what to think. It's just like, wow."

"I know that Chris has never, ever been a violent person, ever," said Hawkins.

You know, except for that time he beat up his famous girlfriend

After pleading guilty to felony assault on June 22, Brown was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community labor, and a protective order requires that Brown stay at least 100 yards from Rihanna (10 during career-related events) for the next five years.

SOMEONE FINDS A WAY TO STAY IN THE PUBLIC EYE: Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean sued pageant officials Monday for libel, slander and religious discrimination, accusing them

of telling her to stop mentioning God even before her remarks against gay marriage.

Prejean sued California pageant executive director Keith Lewis and former Miss USA Shanna Moakler, who served as a co-director before resigning in protest of Prejean. Prejean was fired in June by pageant officials who said she missed several scheduled appearances.

Her attorney, Chuck LiMandri, denies she skipped required appearances and said and Prejean was ousted because of controversial remarks in April during the Miss USA pageant that marriage should be between a man and a woman. She was named first runner-up, and many believe she lost her shot at the Miss USA crown because of her answer. Or maybe because her teeth weren't quite as shiny as the other girl.

LiMandri said Prejean filed suit only after he sought detailed information on what events Prejean missed. "I wanted to give them every opportunity to provide the basis for those claims," LiMandri said. He said he found no proof that Prejean missed events.

The lawsuit claims Lewis and Moakler both told Prejean not to mention God on her Miss USA application or at public events at least two months before she gave her anti-gay marriage answer. The suit also claims Moakler and Lewis improperly revealed that Miss California USA paid for Prejean's breast implants.

Moakler's attorney, Mel Avanzando, said in a statement that Prejean's lawsuit was without merit.

The lawsuit accuses Lewis, Moakler and Neal of using Internet sites such as Facebook and Twitter to post disparaging remarks about Prejean. The lawsuit does not name Donald Trump, who owns Miss California USA's parent organization and who in May refused to fire Prejean, a decision he reversed a month later.

HOME ALONE KID SAYS HE DIDN'T FATHER MICHAEL JACKSON'S KID: Wow. There's probably no one who ever attended journalism school who ever thought they'd one day write that headline.

Anyway, "Home Alone" star Macaulay Culkin has shot down a sensational U.K. newspaper report suggesting he is the biological father of Michael Jackson's youngest son Prince Michael II. The Sun published an article Monday naming former child star Culkin, a close friend of Jackson, as the dad of the 7-year-old, also known as Blanket. The boy was delivered via an unidentified surrogate.

Jackson's death in June has sparked fresh speculation over the child's parentage. Culkin was, pretty much, the last celebrity cited as the father of one of Jackson's children.

Culkin's representative Michelle Bega has blasted the "preposterous" claims, according to TMZ.com.

Jackson said he fathered his two eldest children, Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11, with his second wife Deborah Rowe, but even that has come into question, with both British actor Mark Lester and Rowe's former boss, Jackson's dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein, both suggesting they could be the biological fathers.

SUBLIME RETURNS: Sublime, the chart-topping Long Beach-based punk reggae group that split up more than 13 years ago after its lead singer died, will play its first official gig with a new vocalist as part of the Smokeout festival, to be held Oct. 23-24 at the San Manuel Amphitheatre in San Bernardino.

Slipknot, Deftones, Cypress Hill, Geto Boys, Goodie Mob, Pennywise, Redman & Method Man, Kottonmouth Kings and Bad Brains, among others, will perform across three stages at the event meant to raise awareness about the cannabis counterculture.

Sublime's original lead singer, Bradley Nowell, died of a drug overdose in 1996 just as the band was achieving its biggest mainstream success. Surviving members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson went on to form the Long Beach Dub All Stars, but earlier this year played a gig with one-named Northern California-based singer Rome that Gaugh later called a Sublime reunion.
