LOS ANGELES -- The Giants will host the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday thanks to the Washington Nationals' victory Wednesday that clinched the top seed for the Nationals. Time of the first game is 6:37 p.m.

As the No. 3 seed, the Giants will play the No. 2 Reds on Saturday and Sunday at AT&T Park. The series shifts to Cincinnati on Tuesday for Game 3 and the rest of the five-game series.

Led by former Giants manager Dusty Baker, the Reds ran away with the National League Central. They entered play Wednesday with a 97-64 record, tied for the best in the Majors.

Joey Votto (.476 on-base percentage), Jay Bruce (34 homers) and Ryan Ludwick (26 homers) pace the Reds' offense. The pitching staff lines up behind Cy Young Award candidate Johnny Cueto, who went 19-9 with a 2.78 ERA. Bronson Arroyo (12-10, 3.74) and longtime Giants foe Mat Latos (18-14, 3.48) have been named the Game 2 and Game 3 starters, respectively.

The Giants lost two of three to the Reds in Cincinnati in April. The teams split a four-game series at AT&T Park just before the All-Star break.
