Buster's trophy case
Buster Posey has put together one of the game's most impressive trophy collections during his short time in the majors. Posey, who already had a slew of high school and collegiate honors, was Rookie of the Year in 2010 and has two World Series championships and an All-Star Game start. Here's a look at some of the individual awards he took home in recent weeks:
MVP of the National League: Awarded Thursday by the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Hank Aaron Award: Given to the top offensive player in each league. Presented during the NL Silver Slugger Award: Given to the top offensive player at each position. Louisville Slugger Silver Bat: Given to the league batting champion. NL Comeback Player of the Year: Posey missed the majority of the 2011 season after a home plate collision. Willie Mac Award: Given to the Giants' most inspirational player after a vote by players, coaches, trainers and fans.
