Area resident Jimmy Walker has a tour-high three victories this season, winning the Frys.com Open in San Martin, Sony Open in Hawaii and AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. ... Zach Johnson, the 2008 and 2009 winner, won the Tournament of Champions in January. ... Jeff Maggert, who is in the field, is coming off a victory last week in the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic in his first Champions Tour start. He's the 17th player to win in his Champions debut.

Last week: Karrie Webb won the JTBC Founders Cup in Phoenix for the second time in four years, rallying for her second victory of the year and 41st on tour. The 39-year-old Hall of Famer matched the course record with 9-under 63 to beat five players by a stroke.

Notes: The Kraft Nabisco Championship, the first major tournament of the year, is next week at Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage. ... Yani Tseng won the 2012 tournament for the last of her 15 tour titles. She has dropped from first to 46th in the world in a year. Tseng missed the cut in Phoenix with rounds of 71 and 74. ... Kia endorser Michelle Wie tied for 12th in Phoenix. ... Inbee Park is ranked No. 1, followed by Suzann Pettersen, Stacy Lewis, 16-year-old Lydia Ko and Webb.
