Nicole Baker SCHOOL: Amador Valley SPORT: Volleyball YEAR: Senior POSITION: Outside hitter THE STAT LINE: Baker, bound for Montana State where she will play libero, helped the Dons to wins over Carondelet and Granada. Baker, a co-captain, had 16 kills, 29 aces, 12 digs and two blocks against the Matadors in a battle of unbeaten EBAL teams. Against the Cougars, she had 27 kills, 12 digs and two blocks.Danielle Brown SCHOOL: Piedmont SPORT: Volleyball YEAR: Junior POSITION: Opposite outside hitter THE STAT LINE: Brown totaled 34 kills on the day as Piedmont went 6-0 to win the Norcal Tournament at Mare Island and stretch its win streak to 13 matches. She also had 18 kills in a BSAL win over Salesian.Chloe Dobbert SCHOOL: Carondelet SPORT: Tennis YEAR: Senior THE STAT LINE: Dobbert maintained her undefeated season by picking up wins at No. 1 singles over Northgate, Monte Vista and California. A standout performer for three years running, Dobbert continues to roll towards the EBAL singles tournament.Kaitlin Simarro SCHOOL: Antioch SPORT: Tennis YEAR: Senior THE STAT LINE: The Panthers' No. 1 singles player continued her assault on the BVAL with two more straight-set victories. In matches against Deer Valley and Pittsburg, Simarro surrendered just two games. Antioch won both matches, improving to a BVAL-best record of 8-1. Simarro is unbeaten in league play.Natsuko Takayanagi SCHOOL: Mission San Jose SPORT: Tennis YEAR: Junior THE STAT LINE: In a battle between two undefeated teams in the MVAL on Oct. 8, Takayanagi beat Robin Zhou of American 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 1 singles match, helping the Warriors to a 7-0 team victory.Brooke Tsu SCHOOL: Burlingame SPORT: Tennis YEAR: Sophomore THE STAT LINE: Tsu won two matches at No. 1 singles to help Burlingame improve to 8-1 in the PAL Bay and remain one game behind first-place Menlo-Atherton. Tsu won 6-0, 6-0 versus Woodside and 6-0, 6-2 against Aragon. She also had a 6-0, 6-0 nonleague win versus South San Francisco.
