NICOLO GALLETTI, Foothill, Jr. -- Galletti, who has committed to Arizona State, concluded a strong year tying for third at the California Interscholastic Federation tournament in San Gabriel with a 2-under 69. The Most Valuable Player of the East Bay Athletic League, the left-hander also finished a stroke behind the medalists in the North Coast Section and Northern California tournaments.
CODY BLICK, San Ramon Valley, Sr. -- Blick, bound for San Jose State, was outstanding all season. He tied for third with Galletti at the NCS Tournament of Champions with an even-par 70 at Pleasanton's Castlewood Country Club, carded a 1-under 71 at the NorCal Tournament at Chico's Butte Creek Golf Club to finish tied for eighth, and capped a strong season with a 3-over 74 at state to finish tied for 16th. He was medalist at the Joe Gambetta Invitational in Antioch and won the San Francisco City championship.
TANNER HUGHES, Foothill, So. -- Hughes had an impressive 1.1-over-par average in league matches and was the co-medalist at the NCS Tournament of Champions with a 1-under 69. He shot a 1-over 73 at NorCal to tie for 16th and fired a 6-over 77 at state to tie for 26th.
JUSTIN PAGILA, De La Salle, Jr. -- Pagila shot a 1-over 73 to finish fourth at the EBAL Tournament at Diablo Grande Golf Club in Patterson, helping the Spartans to the league tournament title. He shared medalist honors with a 1-under 70 at the NCS Division I Qualifier at Monarch Bay Golf
BRETT THAWLEY, Foothill, Sr. -- A two-time first-team All-EBAL pick, Thawley was co-medalist at the NCS Tournament of Champions with a 69, shot a 72 at NorCal to tie for 12th and finished with a 77 at state. He had a 1-over 73 in the De La Salle Invitational.
ZACH SMITH, Amador Valley, So. -- Smith surged late in the season with a 71 in the NCS Division I Qualifier and a 74 at Tournament of Champions, where he won a playoff to advance. He finished with a 72 at NorCal, where he dropped a playoff for the final state qualifying spot. He shot a 76 at the EBAL tourney.
