Marshon Ardoin scored on runs of 50 and 75 yards in the first quarter and Jalen Harvey also scored twice as the host Gauchos took a 46-0 lead at the half and never looked back in the opener for both teams.

Harvey scored on a 61-yard punt return and caught a 19-yard scoring pass from quarterback Keilan Benjamin. Harvey also scored on a 82-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

El Cerrito appears to be one of the favorites in the new TCAL Rock Division, The Gauchos have several players back from last year's team that went 7-3-1 overall and produced a 5-1 mark in the now-defunct Alameda Contra Costa Athletic League.

San Lorenzo is coming off an 0-10 season, but are now in the West Alameda County Conference Shoreline Division. Joining San Lorenzo in that division from the old Hayward Area Athletic League are Tennyson, Arroyo and Mt. Eden.

Next week, El Cerrito plays Newark Memorial at De Anza High and San Lorenzo plays Mt. Diablo at Arroyo.
