Elbert Hamilton Jr. rushed for 241 yards, including a pair of touchdowns, as the visiting Panthers (2-0) took the lead in the second quarter and never relinquished it in this nonleague game.

In a high-scoring first 18 minutes of the game, Antioch took a 19-14 lead. There was no more scoring until the fourth quarter,

Hamilton Jr. rushed 19 yards into the end zone to give the Panthers a 25-14 lead with 6:46 left.

"I saw a hole. I knew I had to hit it, so I hit it," said Hamilton Jr. about his final touchdown of the game.

Northgate (1-1) scored with four seconds remaining on a 3-yard run by Jimmy Sharpe, then a two-point conversion pass from Joe Pelletier to Fisi Tavake narrowed Antioch's lead to 25-22. But the Broncos' onside kick was unsuccessful.

Antioch quarterback Hunter Karnthong rushed for 98 yards in the victory, including touchdown runs of 1- and 7-yards. The Panthers rushed for 343 yards as a team.

Northgate was paced in rushing by Eric Haynes with 70 yards. He also scored a pair of first-half touchdowns for the Broncos. Pelletier completed 10 of his 18 passes for 134 yards.

The Panthers took the opening kickoff and marched 67 yards to score on a 1-yard run by Karnthong. But Northgate answered back with a 68-yard touchdown drive, capped by a 7-yard run by Haynes. He also ran in a two-point conversion for an 8-7 Northgate lead.

But Antioch struck again quickly. On the first play of its next drive,

Hamilton Jr. broke tackle attempts for a 66-yard touchdown run. He had 145 yards rushing in the first half.

Northgate retook the lead on Haynes' second TD of the half, a 6-yard run. But Antioch proceeded to end a 65-yard drive with a 7-yard run by Karnthong and a 19-14 lead with 6:41 left in the first half.
