The Granada High football team stopped two Skyline drives at the goal-line to preserve a 28-0 nonleague win over the host Titans on Friday night.

Linebacker Dominex Kovacs stifled Titans running back Tyrone Campbell (99) at the goal-line just before the end of the first half to preserve a 14-0 lead for the Matadors (3-0).

Granada got out to an early lead behind two touchdowns from Casey Soltis, who scored on a 38-yard pass from quarterback Tyler Offill, and again on a 1-yard run the following possession.

The Matadors thwarted the Titans (0-2) efforts to effectively move the ball down field with excellent tackling. The Matadors would score again in the third and final periods on a Offill pass to Kyle Campiotti and a 73-yard interception by Kovacs.
