Joe Protheroe rushed for 306 yards on 17 carries and scored three touchdowns as Clayton Valley had 704 yards of total offense in this rout.

Protheroe scored two of his touchdown in the first quarter, in which Clayton Valley led 21-0. He had a 63-yard touchdown run in the second quarter as Clayton Valley took a 42-7 halftime lead.

Mikey Protheroe, Joe's brother, completed all four of his passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns. That included a 91-yard touchdown pass to Curtis Grant. Mikey Protheroe also rushed for a touchdown.

Jesse Medrano rushed for 94 yards on four carries, including a 78-yard touchdowns, and also had 13 tackles defensively. Tanner Wraa had a 39-yard rushing touchdown and a 41-yard receiving touchdown.

Clayton Valley's final touchdown was a 1-yard pass from Garrett Nelson to Zach Dominguez.

Defensively, Justin Zapanta forced a fumble on a kickoff in the second quarter and returned it for a score, and Spencer Wraa had 10 tackles.

Clayton Valley never trailed and is now 2-1 this season. Vintage fell to 2-2.
