The Eagles led 31-0 at the end of the first quarter and they never looked back.
Running back Brian Freeman scored all four of the first quarter touchdowns on two runs and two throws from quarterback Carlos Lopez. In the second quarter, Lopez would also connect with Jacy Pederson-Dike for a 34-yard touchdown pass, and Freeman would add his fifth touchdown of the game on a 60-yard run midway through the second quarter.
Richmond's best opportunity to score came just before the end of the half, when it forced a fumble on the kickoff and recovered at the CSD 20-yard line. But the Oilers failed to get it in the end zone.
The Oilers limited the CSD offense to just 38 total yards of offense in the second half. The only score of the second half came on a fumble by Richmond late in the fourth quarter which led to a safety for CSD.
Next Friday, Richmond hosts Fairfield and California School for the Deaf hosts Upper Lake.
