The James Logan High football team is clicking on all cylinders, both offensively and defensively.

The host Colts scored 41 first-half points en route to a nonleague win over visiting Berkeley (0-4) Friday night.

Logan (5-0) allowed just 173 yards of offense and no touchdowns. The first-team defense hasn't allowed a touchdown since a win over Reed-Sparks (Nev.) to open the season.

For the second week in a row, Logan quarterback Jeffrey Prothro Jr. was on point. He was 6 of 7 passing with 145 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 48 yards on six carries and two touchdowns.

All of his action came in the first half.

Prothro connected with Amalani Fukofuka three times for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

On the ground, Warren Miles Long had 111 yards on nine carries that included a 37-yard touchdown run. Teammate Damond Beasley had 86 yards rushing on three carries and an 81-yard touchdown run.

"We have that confidence and the talent that we feel we can score on one play," Prothro said.

Four of Logan's eight touchdowns were one-play drives.
