The Panthers took a 20-0 lead at halftime then scored 22 points in the third quarter to help earn a nonleague win over the host Red Devils (2-3) and improve their record to 5-0.

In the first half, Elbert Hamilton Jr. rushed for 160 yards on 14 carries and scored two touchdowns, and receiver Jordan Papagni caught four passes for 72 yards and scored a touchdown.

Quarterback Hunter Karnthong, who has been one of Antioch's main offensive weapons so far this season, completed 7 of 17 passes for 103 yards in the first half and also rushed for 37 yards.

Mt. Diablo moved the ball at times in the first half, as quarterback Austin Hunt completed 11 of 15 passes for 103 yards. His main target in the first two quarters was Daniel Jenkins, who caught four passes for 60 yards.

Mt. Diablo will try to stop its two-game losing streak next Friday as it begins Diablo Valley Athletic League play against College Park at Diablo Valley College.
