THE STAT LINE: Taylor rushed for 184 yards and scored five touchdowns in the Trojans' 48-39 victory over San Leandro. He had three rushing touchdowns, caught a 26-yard scoring pass and returned a kickoff 77 yards for a TD.

Adam Wood

SCHOOL: Las Lomas

SPORT: Football

YEAR: Senior

POSITION: Quarterback/linebacker

THE STAT LINE: Wood, a two-way starter, led the Knights to a 31-14 victory over Dublin. He completed 16 of 21 passes for 198 yards, two touchdowns and rushed for a score. He was also part of a defensive effort that held Dublin without a first down until the fourth quarter.

Ni'yesha Brown

SCHOOL: Newark Memorial

SPORT: Volleyball

YEAR: Junior

POSITION: Outside hitter

THE STAT LINE: Brown had 20 kills, four blocks and 12 digs in a 20-25, 28-26, 15-25, 25-19, 15-12 victory over Irvington. She also had 12 kills, 20 digs, three blocks and two aces in a 25-9, 25-18, 19-25, 25-18 win over Mission San Jose that kept the Cougars undefeated in the Mission Valley Athletic League.

Kaitlyn Haithcock

SCHOOL: Monte Vista

SPORT: Tennis

YEAR: Senior

THE STAT LINE: Haithcock, who entered the week having not dropped a set in East Bay Athletic League action, notched wins at No. 1 singles over San Ramon Valley and Granada. She helped the Mustangs beat the Wolves 8-1 with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Virginia Purcell.

BOYS

KEVIN FLEMER, St. Mary's, football, Sr. -- Flemer completed 18 of 35 passes for 376 yards and five touchdowns in a 35-28 victory over Valley Christian.

NIKITA ZAMORA, Monte Vista, football, Jr. -- Zamora threw for a season-high 312 yards and a touchdown, completing 23 of 36 attempts, to help the Mustangs earn a 44-26 victory over California.

GIRLS

ANNIKA JENSEN, Campolindo, water polo, Jr. -- Jensen helped the Cougars beat St. Francis-Mountain View, Las Lomas and Sir Francis Drake with 12 total goals in the three victories. She is also the team's center defender.

GISELLA MULINGTAPANG, Moreau Catholic, volleyball, Jr. -- The setter passed for 29 assists in both a 25-17, 25-14, 25-18 victory over American and a 25-21, 15-25, 25-16, 25-9 win over Irvington. She also had a total of 19 digs and four aces in the two matches.
