Kyle Malpede threw for 178 yards and had four total touchdowns as the Washington High football team stayed undefeated in the Mission Valley Athletic League with a convincing victory over host Moreau Catholic.

Malpede hit Nate Woudstra and Terrance Jones on scoring passes of 42 and 32 yards respectively as the Huskies (5-2, 4-0 MVAL) stormed out to a 14-0 lead in the first 4 minutes, 45 seconds of the game.

Moreau sophomore Jason Hinton got the Mariners (3-4, 1-2) on the board with an 86-yard kick return on the ensuing kickoff, but Malpede added touchdown runs of 5 and 25 to help Washington take a 34-12 halftime lead. Mariners signal-caller Nicholas Kinast ran for a game-high 84 yards, including a 10-yard score in the fourth quarter.

Jones was the Huskies leading receiver, hauling in five receptions for 89 yards. Ahmed Aryobi led the Huskies with 62 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Washington finished with 165 yards on the ground.
