In his first game back, Miramonte quarterback Drew Anderson failed to show any of the rust you might expect from someone who missed nearly two months of action.

Anderson came out slinging passes from the start, tossing touchdowns on Miramonte's first three possessions of the game to cruise to victory on homecoming night.

The junior, who was out with a shoulder injury, found Marshall Deutz for touchdowns of 24 and 2 yards to open the game and then connected with Zati Williams for a 35-yard score and 20-0 lead with 4:03 left in the first quarter.

The Matadors (4-4, 2-2) took a 27-3 lead into the half, recording their final touchdown of the first half on a halfback pass from Conor Bruen to a wide-open Dominic Paoletti for a 55-yard score.

Anderson threw his final touchdown of the night to Will Fuller as he scrambled to his left and lofted a 22-yard pass to Fuller in the left corner of the endzone. Anderson finished with 260 yards, while Williams had 114 yards receiving.

Dougherty Valley (0-8, 0-4) scored its lone points of the night on a 22-yard field goal by Andrew Ferber.
