POSITION: Pitcher/third baseman

THE STAT LINE: Martinez fired a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts and no walks as the Colts defeated Washington 5-0. The only hit allowed was a bunt single in the fourth inning. Martinez was also 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI in a 3-1 win over Newark Memorial.

Steven Stumph

SCHOOL: Campolindo

SPORT: Swimming

YEAR: Senior

EVENTS: 100 butterfly/100 breaststroke

THE STAT LINE: Stumph was a part of four first-place finishes and three record swims at the Diablo Foothill Athletic League championships. He won both the 100-yard butterfly and 100 breaststroke, in new meet records. He also swam on two winning relays, including the 400 freestyle team that crushed the previous DFAL record. His performance helped Campolindo win the team title.

Clare Dunnegan

SCHOOL: Redwood Christian

SPORT: Softball

YEAR: Junior

POSITION: Pitcher

THE STAT LINE: Dunnegan had two one-hit shutouts with no walks to improve her record this season to 19-0. She struck out nine in a 5-0 win over College Prep and had six strikeouts in an 11-0, five-inning win over University-S.F.

Celina Li

SCHOOL: Foothill

SPORT: Swimming

YEAR: Senior

EVENTS: 200 individual medley/100 butterfly

THE STAT LINE: Li set a meet record in the 200 individual medley of 1 minute, 58.26 seconds, at the East Bay Athletic League championships. She also won the 100 butterfly in 54.69.

BOYS

AUSTIN COLLIER, St. Mary's, track and field, Sr. -- Collier won three individual events to help his squad win the Tri-County Athletic League championship meet team title. Collier was first in the high jump (6 feet, 2 inches), the long jump (22-01/4) and the triple jump (46-1).

MARQUIS MORRIS, De La Salle, track and field, Jr. -- Morris won three individual events at the EBAL championships. He improved his state-leading time in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles to 37.19 seconds and won the 110 high hurdles in 14.06, a mark that ranks third in the state. Morris also won the 100 (10.70).

GIRLS

TRACI SHAW, Castro Valley, softball, Fr. -- Shaw went 3 for 5 with seven RBIs to lead the Trojans to an 18-8 victory over Arroyo that clinched the West Alameda County Conference-Foothill Division regular season title. Shaw hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning and also had two doubles in the win. In a 15-0 win over Berkeley, Shaw ripped a pinch-hit triple, scored a run and drove in a run.

BRITTANY USINGER, Acalanes, swimming, So. -- For the second straight year, Usinger won both her individual events at the DFAL championships. She captured the 100 butterfly in a DFAL record time of 54.75 seconds and also won the 200 individual medley.
