CLOVIS -- Castro Valley High girls track and field star Sasha Wallace successfully defended her California Interscholastic Federation state championship 100-meter hurdles title, and set East Bay history in the process.

With her win by approximately two meters with a time of 13.43 seconds (wind-legal). She becomes the first East Bay girl to win state track and field championships in the same two events two consecutive years. Earlier in the meet, she defended her triple jump title with a leap of 41-9 ½.
