Liam Bourke returned two interceptions back for touchdowns as the Giants scored 28 points in a three-minute span of the third quarter to win their first game of the season with a victory over the host Oilers on Thursday

Navid Izadjou capped a 15-play, 79-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run with 3:12 remaining in the third to break a scoreless drive before Bourke came up big for Redwood.

Bourke stepped in front of an Armando Galindo pass and returned it 27 yards to the end zone with 2:17 left in the quarter. With 39 seconds left in the quarter, Bourke once again picked off Galindo, this time going 24 yards for the score. Aaron Dorfler connected with Conner Edwards for a 15-yard touchdown to give the Giants (1-2) a four-touchdown advantage.

Richmond (0-3) had a golden opportunity to score early in the second quarter, reaching the Giants 11, but fumbled the ball away.

The Oilers were held to minus-15 yards in the second half and 79 for the game. Armoni Norton led Richmond with 61 yards on 23 carries.
