THE STAT LINE: The 6-foot-4 Anderson scored 21 of his 34 points in the fourth quarter of a 69-63 comeback win over Dublin. Besides taking over in the final period to erase an 11-point deficit against the defending Diablo Foothill Athletic League champions, Anderson also had 14 rebounds and two blocks.

Temidayo Yussuf

SCHOOL: St. Joseph Notre Dame

YEAR: Senior

POSITION: Forward

THE STAT LINE: The Long Beach State-bound Yussuf had a game-high 27 points and 15 rebounds in the Pilots' 55-49 victory over El Cerrito, handing the Gauchos their first loss of the season. The 6-foot-7 Yussuf then had a game-high 29 points and 16 rebounds in a 63-43 win over St. Mary's.

SCHOOL: Amador Valley

YEAR: Junior

POSITION: Forward

THE STAT LINE: Cotton scored five goals in two Dons wins, including four on just five shots in a 6-2 victory over Carondelet and one in a 1-0 triumph over Granada. She has a league-best 22 points in East Bay Athletic League action with seven goals and eight assists.

POSITION: Guard

THE STAT LINE: Thomas had 26 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, four rebounds and four assists in the Dragons' 60-56 victory over Salesian. She also had a game-high 16 points in a 60-25 win over Alameda.

BOYS

JOEY FRENCHWOOD, Newark Memorial, basketball, Sr. -- Frenchwood had 10 assists and a game-high 18 points as the Cougars defeated Moreau Catholic 74-48. He also had a game-high 16 points in a 64-35 win over Irvington.

MATEEN HIRBOD, Bentley, basketball, So. -- Hirbod's 40 points, eight steals and five assists led the Phoenix to an 80-76 overtime win over Redwood Christian. He also had 20 points in a 62-61 win over Athenian in his team's perfect start to Bay Counties League-East play.

GIRLS

LILY WISSINGER, Monte Vista, basketball, Sr. -- Wissinger led the Mustangs in scoring during two EBAL wins that kept them unbeaten on the season. She scored 28 points in a 58-35 win over Foothill and 17 in a 63-33 win over California.

ANTUANISHA WRIGHT, Emery, basketball, Jr. -- Wright had a triple-double with 30 points, 12 rebounds and 10 steals in a 61-39 victory over Contra Costa Christian, then had 33 points, nine rebounds, four blocks and four steals in a 51-39 win over California School for the Deaf.
