THE STAT LINE: Ewert played a key role in a 7-0 week for the Wolverines that culminated with a title at the Falcon Invitational. He had 18 kills, 13 service points, eight digs and three aces in the three-game championship win over Foothill. He also had 16 kills in a semifinal win over California and a total of 36 kills in Bay Valley Athletic League wins over Freedom and Liberty.

Mikey Slesinski

SCHOOL: Irvington

SPORT: Golf

YEAR: Sophomore

THE STAT LINE: Slesinski shot a 3-under 68, including six birdies, at Rossmoor Golf Course to win medalist honors at the Transbay Invitational. Then he shot a 4-over 76 at the Sunol Valley Palm Course in the second round of the Mission Valley Athletic League Championships as the Vikings clinched the overall league team title.

Jasmina Cross

SCHOOL: Heritage

SPORT: Softball

YEAR: Senior

POSITION: Catcher

THE STAT LINE: Cross had two hits, including a game-tying two-run homer in the seventh inning that keyed the Patriots to a come-from-behind 11-7 win over BVAL rival Freedom. She also drove in four runs and went 2 for 3 with a triple in a 12-0 win over Pittsburg.

Carly Schulz

SCHOOL: St. Mary's

SPORT: Track

YEAR: Senior

EVENTS: 300 low hurdles

THE STAT LINE: The Sacramento State-bound Schulz won the 300-meter low hurdles at the Woody Wilson Classic in 43.64 seconds, the top time in the North Coast Section entering the week, according to PrepCalTrack.com. Schulz also set a school record in the race.

BOYS

CORY FREDERICKSON, School, volleyball, Sr. -- Frederickson led the Falcons to a pair of East Bay Athletic League wins and a runner-up finish at the Falcon Invitational. In a three-game league win over California, he had 34 kills and two blocks. Against Pacific Collegiate, he contributed 26 kills and three blocks.

JAYCOB MEDINA, Arroyo, baseball, Jr. -- Medina hit home runs in three consecutive at-bats in the Atascadero Easter Classic. He had a two-run shot in his last at-bat in Arroyo's 9-4 opening-round win against Westlake-Westlake Village, and a three-run homer and two-run shot in his first two at-bats in a 9-3 win over Channel Islands-Oxnard. He batted .377 in four tournament games.

GIRLS

ELIANA MELLO, Tennyson, softball, Sr. -- Mello was 7 for 9 with five runs and three extra base hits in three Standley Cup tournament games for the Lancers, who were 2-1 in the tournament.

GINA PAGAN, Miramonte, softball, Sr. -- Pagan went 2 for 4 with a three-run home run in a 5-4 win over Acalanes. In a complete game, she struck out 13 and allowed one earned run and two hits.
