RODEO -- Officials have identified a man killed while sitting in a car outside a Rodeo home Saturday.
The Contra Costa County Coroner's Office said 25-year-old San Pablo resident Jason Ray Jones died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Jones was shot following an argument on the 1000 block of Viewpointe Boulevard in Rodeo around 1 a.m., according to Contra Costa County Sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee.
When deputies responded to a call of gunshots fired, they found Jones lying in the front yard of a home. Though deputies performed CPR on him, Jones was later pronounced dead by paramedics.
Before the incident, Jones was sitting in a car with a woman when they were approached by three unknown people, one of whom shot Jones, Lee said. The woman only suffered minor injuries.
Authorities have made no arrests and have issued no suspect descriptions.
