Cody Russell Wilding, son of Jeff and Suzanne Wilding of Antioch, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which was presented at a Court of Honor ceremonies Oct. 28 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brentwood.
He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 28, under the leadership of Scoutmaster Sean Wright.
For his Eagle Scout community service project, Wilding coordinated the construction of wood benches under an observation deck at the Dow Wetlands Preserve, to provide seating for visitors. Under his direction, fellow Scouts and adult volunteers worked on the project taking more than 100 man hours to complete.
During his Scouting career, Wilding attend many camps, including Camp Oljato on Huntington Lake in Lakeshore and Camp Wolfeboro located in the high Sierra Nevada Mountains on the shores of the Stanislaus River.
In January, Wilding will attend Brigham Young University in Idaho as a freshman.
