The Moraga Country Club's $25,000 tennis tournament is back for another year.

Now called the Heritage Bank of Commerce Open, the annual tournament begins Aug. 6 and wraps up with finals on Aug. 11.

The entries on the men's side include defending singles champion Clement Reix, along with Tyler Browne and Nick Ballou. Browne, a Las Lomas High and Cal graduate, is now an assistant coach at Cal and has won doubles and singles titles in the past. He is a defending champion in men's doubles and mixed doubles.

Reix's wife, Sheravad Benamar, was a women's singles finalist last season, and is back for another year. Pennsylvania's Xan Riley should also be a top contender.

Local women's players expected to attend include Campolindo's Sydney Stone, Dougherty Valley's Ricki Mae Torres and Amador Valley graduate Brooke Irish.

Admission is free and all five of the finals matches are scheduled for Aug. 11, with action beginning around 9 a.m.

On Aug. 8, the tournament will hold an evening buffet to accompany two featured matches. The buffet begins at 5:30 p.m. and costs $20 for adults, $10 for children. Tickets can be purchased through the Moraga Country Club.

The Pine Grove Business Center in Orinda is the tournament's presenting sponsor.
