Hot Cougars stay undefeated

Campolindo High's Phillip Rei (2) runs for a touchdown in the Cougars' 42-27 victory over El Cerrito on Sept. 20. The Cougars avenged a 16-14 loss to El Cerrito from last year and moved to 4-0 on the season. Campolindo QB Andrew Zolintakis threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns and his favorite target was Rei, who caught seven passes for 164 yards and all three touchdowns. The Cougars open Diablo Foothill Athletic League play on Sept. 27 against Acalanes, which has also started the season with a 4-0 record. The game is at 7 p.m. at Acalanes.
