The following excerpts were taken from the Moraga police log:

Thursday, oct. 3

  • vandalism: A gray 2006 Chevy Malibu sustained a shattered rear window while parked at the curb in the 2000 block of Ascot Drive. The estimated amount to repair the damage is $350.

    Friday, oct. 4

  • hit and run: A small red four-door sedan rear-ended another vehicle at the intersection of Moraga Road and Rheem Boulevard while stopped at a red signal light. The sedan took off in the opposite direction without stopping to exchange information. The sedan was driven by a white female approximately 60 years old. The damage to the vehicle was estimated to be less than $500.

    Sunday, oct. 6

  • traffic incident: An 85-year-old female driver of a black 2000 BMW 740i had failed to yield to a white 2000 Volkswagen Cabrio while entering Country Club Drive from the parking lot of Aegis of Moraga. The BMW subsequently collided with the Cabrio resulting in $3,000 worth of monetary damage to each vehicle.

  • petty theft: A Takamine guitar was taken from a residence in the 50-100 block of Hardie Drive.
