The following excerpts are from the Moraga police log:
Wednesday, Nov. 20 residential burglary: Two homes, in the 400 and 500 blocks of Fernwood Drive, were broken into. An iPad and Apple laptop were taken from one home, valued at $810. The second home had two older Apple MacBook Pro laptop computers taken. They were valued at $1,100.
Friday, Nov. 22 vandalism: Someone tee-peed a tree in front of a residence in the 800 block of Augusta Drive. Two vehicles which were parked in the driveway, were egged, splattered with an unknown substance and written on with a permanent marker. One vehicle had also incurred a cracked windshield. Total monetary damage was $450.
Saturday, Nov. 23 suspicious circumstances: At a drugstore in the 1400 block of Moraga Road, a woman tried to purchase $800 in gift cards by using three different credit cards. One of the cards was declined during the transaction. When the woman was asked to sign an unsigned credit card, she refused and departed the store leaving a $400 gift card on the counter. She left in a white SUV.
Police calls were unavailable again this week, due to ongoing difficulties with a switchover to a new computer program.
