Anderson propels Mats to NCS title

With senior quarterback Drew Anderson (pictured right) leading the way, the Miramonte High football team defeated top-seeded and previously undefeated Casa Grande-Petaluma 41-28 in the North Coast Section Division II championship game. It was the school's first NCS title under coach Jack Schram. Anderson continued his sizzling playoff run, throwing five touchdown passes, including four in the final quarter. He threw for 438 yards, giving him over 4,000 for the season. The Matadors were considered for a spot in the Northern California Division II regional game, but ultimately weren't selected, ending their season.
