Anderson lifts Mats over Cougars

Miramonte High's Drew Anderson, pictured left, was the hero in the Matadors' 69-68 over Campolindo on Feb. 1. The senior scored 34 points, 14 rebounds and had the game-winning basket with two seconds left during the thrilling rivalry game. Campolindo, which lost for the first time in Diablo Foothill Athletic League play, was led by Andrew Zolintakis' 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Anderson and Zolintakis are also the starting quarterbacks for their schools' football team. Miramonte's Jake Linares also had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
