Bear is Golden Rescue's Pet of the Week for Feb. 21.

GOLDEN RESCUE

Bear is a handsome, 8-year-old neutered male golden retriever looking for his forever home. Rescued from a shelter, Bear is so happy to be with human friends. Because of his fear of being left behind again, he would do best with a family that is mostly "at home" where he can be included in family activities. Bear is great with kids and dogs (possibly cats, too) and does well indoors. For more information about Bear, contact Erin at erinwrightsman@gmail.com or visit www.ngrr.org.

COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES

Braveheart is a young and friendly horse who was abandoned and left to fend for himself. The 4-year-old was very skinny when he was brought to the shelter, and needs a horse-savvy family to help him gain weight and give him the proper care he deserves. For more information on Braveheart, or to see all of the adoptable animals at the Contra Costa Animal Services Department, go to www.ccasd.org or call 925-335-8300.
