    Friday, Feb. 28

  • vehicle accident: A silver Honda Pilot backed into a parked 2005 Honda Pilot in the parking lot in front of Subway on Park Street. Both Pilots sustained minor damage. The juvenile left the scene without leaving a note. The 16-year-old male was identified and contacted with his parents.

  • local bench warrant: Officers made contact with a 28-year-old man on Moraga Way near Camino Ricardo who had two outstanding misdemeanor bench warrants for his arrest, which required a mandatory appearance. He was arrested without incident and taken to County Jail in Martinez.

    Tuesday, march 4

  • Controlled substances (with lizard present): An officer conducted a traffic stop on a black 1993 Mercedes-Benz after the officer observed a rear taillamp was not working. The officer could smell the odor of non-burnt marijuana from the interior of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed 364.08 grams of suspected marijuana, .32 grams of suspected Hash, 14 green tablets of Clonazepam (sedative/relaxant) and a digital scale. The 28-year-old male driver from Moraga was arrested for sales/transportation of a controlled substance. A bearded dragon lizard in the car was picked up by the Contra Costa County Animal Services for safekeeping.
