Recognizing League's 2014 grads
The National Charity League Lamorinda Chapter's "Senior Presents" gathering for the league's graduating class of 2014 was held March 9 at the Claremont Resort and Spa in Berkeley. The league is a nonprofit organization of mothers and daughters who serve their communities. This group came together in seventh grade and has logged more than 3,500 hours during the past six years with 32 nonprofit organizations, including Mt. Diablo Center for Adult Day Health Care, Monument Crisis Center, Loaves and Fishes, Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano and Special Olympics. The students, all graduating seniors, represent Miramonte, Acalanes, Campolindo, Carondelet and Bentley high schools. Their final act of philanthropy as a group was a donation of money to the American Cancer Society. The co-chairs for the gala were Amy Ruegg and Erika Odell.
