ORINDA -- Orinda Aquatics alumni made a strong showing at NCAA Swimming and Diving Championship meets held in Minneapolis and Indianapolis.
Andrea Ward ('10 Campolindo and current UCSB senior) finished her collegiate career fourth NCAA Championships, earning All-America honors and multiple UCSB records. Courtney Whyte ('11 Campolindo and current University of Notre Dame junior), also at the D1 meet, swam the fly leg of their 200 medley relay team,
which narrowly missed a spot in the consolation finals. Brooke Woodward ('10 Miramonte) competed for Emory University in three individual events (200 IM, 400 IM and 200 Breast) in her fourth NCAA DIII Championship Meet, ending her collegiate career as a multiple All-America Swimmer, CSAAA Scholar. It was her fourth consecutive year as a National Champion.
Megan Freeman ('12 Miramonte) also swims for Emory University. Alyssa Levine, a senior representing Williams College, competed in the DIII Championships in the
100 and 200 fly events, along with both medley relays. Jenny Hu (senior at Tufts University) continued to establish school team records this year and qualified for NCAAs.
Orinda Aquatics had 38 alums competing in collegiate aquatic programs throughout the country during 2013-14.
