CV grad makes the grade in Class A

Chris Mazza, a 2008 Clayton Valley High graduate, is putting together a solid season as a reliever for the Minnesota Twins' Class A team. Mazza, a right-hander, has a 3.42 ERA and 3-3 record for the Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Kernals. He's struck out 41 in 37 innings pitched. Mazza was a 27th round selection of the Twins out of Menlo College in the 2011 draft.
