Saint Mary's diversity in education program

A forum focusing on diversity in graduate programs will be held Saturday at Saint Mary's College in Moraga.

The 2013 California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education, which is hosted by the college, will give undergraduate and master's students the chance to participate in workshops and learn about graduate opportunities and resources available to underrepresented groups including low-income and first-generation college students.

More than 200 college recruiters will be on-hand to provide information about graduate programs offering masters or Ph.D. degrees around the nation.

Workshop topics include choosing, applying and preparing for graduate school, educational financing and preparing for grad school entrance examinations.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1928 St. Mary's Road in Moraga. Admission is free.
