Four tied atop EBAL girls soccer scoring
Four girls soccer players, two apiece from Amador Valley and San Ramon Valley, entered the week tied for first place in scoring in the East Bay Athletic League. The Dons' Andie Boehm and Kiana Rastrou and Wolves' Alexa Vandevanter and Kristen Pavlick each had five goals in EBAL play through Jan. 24. Morgan Idso and Pavlick led the Wolves overall with eight goals apiece entering the week. Granada's Katie Lortie leads the league with four game-winning goals.-- Matt Schwab
Valley Christian girls rout Emery
The Valley Christian High girls basketball team beat Emery 58-31 on Jan. 26 at Head-Royce in the Bay Area Hoops Classic to improve to 18-2 overall. Freshman Nina Bessolo led the balanced Vikings with 14 points, and Emma Ayad and Izzy Ayad combined for 25 points and five 3-pointers.-- Matt Schwab
Livermore boys avenge loss
The Livermore High boys basketball team avenged a loss against Amador Valley with a 46-44 win in a tense defensive battle on Jan. 25. Center Jason Morant (12 points) was the lone Livermore player to reach double-figure scoring. The result left Amador and Livermore both with 2-6 EBAL records, each also with wins over Foothill.-- Matt Schwab
