A.L. Manager of the Year voting

A's manager Bob Melvin won the American League Manager of the Year award over Baltimore's Buck Showalter in voting conducted by the Baseball Writers Association of America. Melvin and Showalter garnered all 28 first- and second-place votes, and following is how the 28 writers (two from each A.L. city) voted, the BBWAA chapter they represent, and their first and second place votes. Melvin earned 16 first-place votes to 12 for Showalter:
