Martinez is accepting applications for residents to serve on city boards and commissions, or as the city's representative for outside agencies.
There are two vacancies on the Design Review Committee for two-year terms. The board meets at 4 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. Members can be Martinez residents or qualified professionals (architect, landscape architect or have a certificate from the California Nurseryman's Association) who are familiar with the city.
There is one vacancy -- alternate -- for the Martinez representative two-year term on the Contra Costa County Library Commission. The body meets at 7 p.m. quarterly at the Pleasant Hill Library, 1750 Oak Park Blvd., Pleasant Hill.
A Martinez representative on the Central Contra Costa Transit Authority Citizens Advisory Committee and Accessible Services Committee is open. The board meets at 9:30 a.m. on the second Friday of every other month at 2477 Arnold Industrial Way, Concord.
Applications are accepted on a continuous basis for all commissions and will remain on file for two years. Residence in Martinez is required except where noted. Applicants may be interviewed by the City Council.
