Vic and Judy Hutchins of Pleasant Hill catch up on the community news in the Pleasant Hill/Martinez Record after a visit to the Shibaozhai Pagoda in March. The 12-story, red, wooden pagoda, which dates to the early 1800s, is located along the banks of the Yangtze River near the town of Zongxian in China. During their tour, the couple also visited the Terra Cotta Warriors, but noted their favorite stop was at the Chengdu Panda Reserve and Research Center and being so close to the giant pandas of all ages and sizes.
