Jack is a large, 8-year-old, neutered, fawn pug, whose owner put him in a shelter when she traveled across country. He is house-trained and likes to go out with his foster family, doing a little dance at the door while waiting for them. He does have dry eye and requires two medications to keep his eyes lubricated when he doesn't blink. The Pug Rescue adoption fair is the third Sunday of the month at Pet Food Express at Oak Grove Road and Treat Boulevard in Concord.
Picabo (peek-a-boo) is 7 years old, weighs about 100 pounds, likes to swim, is loving and affectionate with people, and patient and sweet with small children. She listens well and learns commands quickly, and is very vocal. She is not good with small, injured or weak dogs, and can be protective of her person when they come around. She seems to do very well with dogs of her same breed. Email email@example.com, call MUSH at 800-399-8155 or visit www.ncama.org and click on "rescue."
