Om Walse, 4, of Martinez, gets a little help from his big brother Neel Walse, 9, as they fill up the tank of his motorcycle while attending Mini Motorland at the John Muir Amphitheater in Martinez, Calif., on Saturday, April 13, 2013. (Jose Carlos Fajardo/Staff)

The John Muir Amphitheatre in Martinez was turned into a driving course for kids ages 2-5 during Mini Motorland on Saturday. Youngsters were invited to drive their electric or pedal-powered cars and tricycles around a track and make pit stops, like the Walse brothers of Martinez, above. As Om, 4, stopped to fill up at the gas station, he got a little help from Neel, 9. And 4-year-old Michael Haase, of Martinez, right, was also pumping -- the pedals on his early 1970s Murray Flat Face Pedal Car -- as he climbed a hill. The car belonged to his father, Thomas, who passed it along to the next generation.
