East Bay SPCA

Sweets, a 3-year-old female Catahoula cross, is the East Bay SPCA's pet of the week. The Catahoula breed, named after a parish in Louisiana, is believed to be the first one developed in the United States. These are working dogs, bred for herding livestock and helping to hunt game. Their temperament tends to be gentle and loving, and they are very intelligent. Sweets is almost 40 pounds, a good candidate for your next constant companion. Let her sit at your feet and walk by your side, and decide if she should be your devoted companion.
