Cougars host Dons in DFAL opener

Campolindo High's Mason Windatt (5) celebrates after interecepting a pass against El Cerrito on Sept. 14. Windatt made two of the Cougars' four interceptions on the night, but they couldn't put away the Gauchos and lost 16-14. It was Campolindo's first regular-season loss since the final game of the 2010 season. Campolindo will now prepare to defend its Diablo Foothill Athletic League title. The league season gets underway on Friday with the Cougars hosting Acalanes at 7 p.m. Miramonte will face former coach John Wade when it travels to Dublin for its league opener.
