During the past couple of months, we here at the Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority have been reaching out to our customers to find out their opinions on our garbage and recycling services.

The authority has used various methods of interfacing with the public. In August, we launched an online survey aimed at residential customers. In September, local businesses and residents were invited to attend public workshops, and we also conducted random phone surveys for businesses, multifamily residents and property managers.

We found out that some of you were unaware of special disposal programs that we offer, beyond your usual curbside garbage and recycling. So, I thought I would take this opportunity to highlight two of those programs here.

Please keep in mind that these are only two of our special programs and are for residential customers only.
