  • Community Ukulele Class and Jam -- 2-4:30 p.m. Dec. 8. A holiday-themed ukulele class and jam are open to the community. Free class for beginners of all ages (no experience required) from 2-3 p.m. followed by a free ukulele "jam" for beginners and intermediate players (teens/adults) from 3:15-4:30 p.m. Come for one class or stay for both and music is provided.   • Boy Scout Troop 224's annual Christmas tree Lot -- Daily from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. until they sell out. Choose from Noble Fir, Grand Fir, Douglas fir and Nordmann. Delivery available in Lamorinda for a nominal fee (free to seniors). Holiday decor and garland also available for purchase. Next to the Lafayette Community Gardens on Mt.   • Orinda Union School District Reception -- 6-6:30 p.m. Dec. 10. In honor of Pat Rudebusch. Visitors are invited to thank Rudebusch for her many years of service to the Orinda school community.   • Crab feed to benefit Sentinels of Freedom -- 5 p.m. Jan. 5. Menu: Marinated crab, plain crab, garlic bread, salad, pasta and dessert. A kids menu of pizza or mac and cheese and juice will also be provided depending on the number of kids in attendance. One water, soda or iced tea per person. Red and white wine will be provided with dinner and those attending may also bring their own wine. Two full bars will be open all night. DJ Music will be provided by DJ Bogenius and live jazz by the Dave Parker Quartet. Entertainment for kids will include balloons, face painting and games.
