Cindy (short for Cinderella) is a 6-year-old, 14-pound spayed pug who was rescued from a shelter where she came in with a punctured eye. (Her photo was taken before the injured eye was removed). She's unfamiliar with toys, but willing to learn. She is housebroken, recently learned to use a doggy door, and gets along well with other dogs. PROS Pug Rescue will be at Pet Food Express at Oak Grove Road and Treat Boulevard, Concord, on the third Sunday of the month, Jan 20.
Kona is a 4-year-old, friendly and affectionate female malamute. She likes to lean into her person and will walk between their legs. She knows a few basic commands, and does OK on leash. She would prefer a single-dog home as she does not get along with other dogs or small critters. She would love an active family that has previous experience with malamutes and some of their more trying, yet endearing, traits.
