BOYS OPEN DIVISION

No. 2 Capital Christian (28-3) vs. No. 1 Bishop O'Dowd (27-4) at Sleep Train Arena, Sacramento, 8 p.m.

A closer look: The Dragons haven't been tested in their five postseason games and may not be tested by the Cougars if the two teams' meeting on Jan. 20 is any indication. Bishop O'Dowd won that game 86-60 as Ivan Rabb had 31 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. Capital Christian needs a big game from D.J. Wilson, its Michigan-bound forward, who was held to eight points in that Jan. 20 game, about six points below his per game average. The Cougars have won 12 straight since then, including a 70-57 win over Archbishop Mitty-San Jose in Tuesday's semifinals.

DIVISION I

No. 3 Freedom (26-6) vs. No. 1 Monte Vista (30-1) at Sleep Train Arena, Sacramento, 4 p.m.

A closer look: A rematch of the North Coast Section Division I title game, which Monte Vista won 57-41, as the Falcons were held under 50 points for the first time this season. Freedom has come alive in its past two games, scoring a combined 152 points in wins over Rodriguez-Fairfield and Jesuit-Carmichael. Monte Vista has been the East Bay's best defensive team, as it has not allowed more than 59 points in any game this season. The big question is if Freedom's Rodney Pope and Elliott Smith can get open looks and if Freedom can use the longer NBA court to get easy buckets in transition.

DIVISION II

No. 1 Folsom (31-2) vs. No. 3 Cosumnes Oaks-Elk Grove (16-17), Sleep Train Arena, Sacramento, noon

DIVISION III

No. 9 St. Francis Drake (25-7) vs. No. 3 Archbishop Riordan (21-9), American Canyon HS, 8 p.m.

DIVISION IV

No. 2 Salesian (22-14) vs. No. 1 Moreau Catholic (25-6) at American Canyon HS, 2 p.m.

A closer look: The Pride has been looking to get another shot at Moreau Catholic since a 73-68 loss to the Mariners in the NCS Division IV title game on March 8. Salesian has plenty of NorCal title game experience, having been to this spot six times since 2006. This is all new to Moreau Catholic, though, which does not have a senior on the roster and is led by freshman Damari Milstead (15.8 ppg) and sophomores Oscar Frayer (14.4 ppg) and Brandon Lawrence (12.0).

DIVISION V

No. 2 St. Joseph Notre Dame (29-5) vs. No. 1 Central Catholic (26-6) at American Canyon HS, noon

A closer look: The Pilots will be looking for a fourth straight trip to the state title game but are facing a Central Catholic team that has lost only once this calendar year. The Raiders have four players who average double-figures in scoring, led by 6-foot-6 senior forward Jonathan Boddie (13.2 ppg). After two close contests to finish the NCS Division V playoffs, St. Joseph Notre Dame had comfortable wins over Pinewood-Los Altos Hills and Brookside Christian-Stockton and appears to be peaking at the right time.

GIRLS

OPEN DIVISION

No. 6 Miramonte (30-1) vs. No. 4 Salesian (29-6) at Sleep Train Arena, Sacramento, 6 p.m.

A closer look: It'll be a contrast in styles when the Matadors and Pride play each other for the second time this season. Salesian used its half-court offense, size advantage and another exceptional performance from Mariya Moore to beat Miramonte 74-56 on Jan. 20. Since then the Matadors and their up-tempo offense have won 15 straight, including a 92-87 victory over Carondelet on Tuesday in which Sabrina Ionescu had 35 points. Miramonte has been to a state title game once (2002), while Salesian is looking to make its third straight appearance after winning Div. IV NorCal titles the past two years.

DIVISION I

No. 11 Pleasant Grove (23-9) vs. No. 4 Berkeley (23-8) at Sleep Train Arena, Sacramento, 2 p.m.

A closer look: Berkeley is again playing its best basketball of the season in March as it is making its seventh appearance in a Division I title game in nine years. The Yellowjackets avenged their loss to Deer Valley in the NCS Division I final with a 63-61 win in Tuesday's semifinals and have won seven of their past eight. Pleasant Grove got to this point largely because of its defense, which hasn't allowed more than 60 points in any of its past 16 games.

DIVISION II

No. 1 Archbishop Mitty (19-11) vs. No. 2 McNair-Stockton (28-4), Sleep Train Arena, Sacramento, 10 a.m.

DIVISION III

No. 1 Enterprise-Redding (28-2) vs. No. 2 Modesto Christian (25-8), American Canyon HS, 6 p.m.

DIVISION IV

No. 5 Justin-Siena-Napa (28-6) vs. No. 2 Arcata-Eureka (26-4), American Canyon HS, 4 p.m.

DIVISION V

No. 1 Brookside Christian-Stockton (28-4) vs. No. 2 Pinewood (28-3), American Canyon HS, 10 a.m.
