monday, oct. 19

  • 9:26 p.m. — Sunnyside Avenue. Police received a report of a hit-and-run. The gold, newer-model SUV was last seen traveling alongside Sunnyside toward Oakland Avenue.

    tuesday, oct. 20

  • 6:59 a.m. — Kingston Avenue. Police said a black Honda Accord was stolen sometime during the previous night.

  • 3 p.m. — Magnolia Avenue. A caller considered a man acting suspicious outside Piedmont Middle School. Police said the man was waiting for his niece.

  • 3:26 p.m. — Bellevue Avenue. Someone reported that a man was soliciting magazines. Police told the solicitor to get a permit.

  • 7:41 a.m. — Pacific Avenue. The caller reported that someone stole his golf clubs from his vehicle.

  • 5:56 a.m. — San Pablo police contacted Piedmont police to say that they had recovered a vehicle reported stolen in Piedmont.

  • 5:20 p.m. — Linda Avenue. Police towed a vehicle that was illegally parked.

    — Park Lane. Police arrested a man on suspicion of breaking into a vehicle.

  • 9:01 a.m. — Boulevard Way. A man reported that an individual came to his door on Wednesday, and that his daughter gave the suspect a glass of water. The suspect asked when he could return.

  • 9:34 a.m. — Fairview Avenue. A woman reported that a man was acting suspiciously, walking down her driveway and then exiting the property.

  • 11:04 a.m. — Highland Avenue. A woman reported she may be an identity theft victim after she noticed suspicious activity on her credit account.

  • 4:58 p.m. — Muir Avenue. The caller reported a solicitor acting suspiciously. Police said the man was with Amnesty International.

  • 6:27 p.m. — Wildwood Avenue. Police received several calls about a party with loud music in the neighborhood.

  • 2:23 a.m. — Grand Avenue. Alameda police contacted Piedmont police, saying that they had received a report of a possible drunken driver in their city.

  • 11:54 p.m. — Oakland Avenue. A man who a witness reported as "crawling" along the street had been drinking, police said.

  • 9:51 a.m. — Magnolia Avenue. A white 1987 Honda was reported stolen.
