VALLEJO -- A series of search warrants served in Solano and Contra Costa counties early Wednesday netted nine arrests and an unexploded grenade.
The morning operation led by the Napa County Sheriff's Office stemmed from a July 7 vehicle burglary and attempted car theft near Lake Berryessa, sheriff's spokeswoman Capt. Tracey Stuart said.
In all, eight locations in Vallejo, Benicia, Rancho Cordova and Walnut Creek were searched, beginning at 8:40 a.m. Of those arrested, four were tied to the Lake Berryessa incident, Stuart said. No arrests were made in relation to the Walnut Creek address, as with several Benicia and Vallejo sites. One man was arrested after a search of his vehicle in Rancho Cordova.
