DUBLIN -- Kolb and Dougherty elementary schools have new principals appointed by the Dublin school board.

Nicole Williams Browning is the new principal at Kolb Elementary School. She is a former English teacher who has worked as principal of Lincoln Middle School in Alameda. She replaces Lynn Medici, who has accepted the position of Dublin Unified School District's director of educational services for the elementary level.

Brett Nelson is the new principal of Dougherty Elementary School. Nelson most recently served as principal of Warm Springs Elementary School in Fremont.

He replaces Catherine Ward-Mikes, who left to become a middle school principal in Hillsborough.
